PUTNAM, Ruth A. (Mahoney) of Dorchester, October 25, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Perley E. Putnam. Loving mother of Rev. Richard Putnam S.D.B. of Dorchester and John J. Putnam of Otisville, NY. Devoted grandmother of Joseph, Matthew and Chris Putnam. Dear sister of Richard Mahoney of Holbrook, Jeanne Patts of Hanson and the late John J. Mahoney Jr. and Marie Rogers. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours in the John J. O'Connor & Son Funeral Home 740 Adams St. (near Gallivan Blvd.) DORCHESTER Friday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Mass in St. Brendan's Church Saturday morning at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Remembrances may be made in memory of Ruth to the Salesian Boys and Girls Club, 150 Byron St., East Boston, MA 02128. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Please accept our condolences, Father, on the passing of your Mom. You always talked about her and took care of her so much. You are a great and devoted son. We are glad that we got to meet your Mom at some of St. Brendan's functions. What a sweet and lovely lady!

To FR. Rick and Cousin John our hearts break for you in this very sad, hard time. Our love to you and yours and we all wish that we could be there with you but we just learned of Ruth's death today. Rick & John, so sorry to hear of Aunt Ruthie's passing. I have so many wonderful memories about her from my childhood. We know she's in heaven celebrating now. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
