TOBIN, Ruth Virginia (Ferraro) formerly of Dorchester, most recently of Foley Senior Residences, Mattapan, February 6, 2011. Loving mother of James Tobin and his wife Ann Whaley-Tobin of Canton. Devoted grandmother of Adam and Jason of Canton. Dear sister of the late Rita Ferraro.
Funeral from the John J. O'Connor & Son Funeral Home 740 Adams St. (near Gallivan Blvd.) DORCHESTER Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock. Funeral Mass in St. Brendan's Church at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 to 8 pm and Wednesday morning from 9 to 9:30. Graduate of Regis College B.A. and Boston University M.Ed., Boston Public School teacher in the Home and Hospital Program for unwed mothers. Interment Forest Hills Cemetery.

Dear Jim, Ann & family,
We are so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom "Virginia". She was such as nice woman to all our family. She was always happy go lucky and very generous especially in allowing us to use the beach and cottage for parking when we wanted. I'll always remember the family sitting out on the back porch of the cottage and having a lot of laughs (Virginia, Rita, Jim and not to forget Ganga). Our family will always remember her in our thoughts and prayers and hope all your memories carry you through this difficult time. Lots of love to all.
