McKINNON, John H. "Jake" of Dorchester formerly of South Boston suddenly July 12, 2010. Beloved husband of Frances E. (Murphy). Loving father of Steven and his wife Maureen McKinnon of Kingston, John "Jake" and his wife Julie McKinnon of Dorchester, Michael and his wife Christine McKinnon of Plainville, Michelle and her husband Stephen Vanasse of Plainville, Lori and her husband Jim Broughton of Quincy, Richard McKinnon and his fiancee Jean Keefe of Quincy. Proud grandfather of John P. Dalton, Brian, Matthew, Joseph, Max, Molly, Katherine McKinnon, Colleen Harrington, Seamus and Amanda Broughton and great grandfather of Jaelyn Dalton. Devoted brother of Dorothy Flynn of South Boston and the late Francis, David and Robert McKinnon.

Visiting hours in the John J. O'Connor & Son Funeral Home 740 Adams St. (near Gallivan Blvd.) DORCHESTER Thursday 4 to 8 pm. Funeral Mass in St. Ann's Church NEPONSET Friday morning at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.

Vet. Korean War U.S.M.C. He was employed by the Comm. of MA as a member of the National Labor Relations Board and retired in 1996 as an Administrative Law Judge on the Industrial Accident Board. He was previously employed by Boston Edison and served as an Executive Board Member of Local #369 U.W.U.O.A. AFL-CIO. He was a member of the South Boston Yacht Club and was inducted into the South Boston Sports Hall of Fame. Member of the South Boston Irish American Society, Castle Island Association and the South Boston V.F.W.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be in Jake's name to: So. Boston Special Kids & Young Adults, c/o Mt. Washington Bank, 430 E. Broadway, Boston, MA 02127.

Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery.
