Obituary

O’NEILL, Brigid “Bridie” (Gaffey) of Dorchester, formerly of Co. Roscommon, Ireland, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on March 8, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Michael J. O’Neill Sr. Loving mother of Joanne Buonopane and her husband Michael of Saugus, Kevin O’Neill and his wife Elizabeth of Dorchester, Susan Leahy and her husband Thomas of Dorchester, and the late Michael J. O’Neill Jr. Cherished Nana of Nicole, Jaclyn, and Kerri Buonopane, Joshua and Aidan O’Neill, and Kalyn and Erin Leahy. Dear sister of Eamon Gaffey and his late wife Mary, Helen Dobbins, Nuala McLoughlin and her husband Patrick; and predeceased by loving siblings Patrick, Michael, Thomas, Bernie, Maureen Rogan, Nancy Nolan, Joseph, Peggy McLoughlin, Larry, Kathleen Burke, Betty Hegarty, and Seamus. Bridie is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visiting hours at John J. O’Connor & Son Funeral Home, 740 Adams St. (near Gallivan Blvd.) Dorchester, Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 2-6PM. Funeral Mass at St. Mark’s Church on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
