CONNELL, Elizabeth Ann (Villard) of Dorchester, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on October 31, 2022. Beloved wife of Richard S. Connell. Loving mother of Chris and his wife Georgia Connell of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jennifer Connell of Charleston, South Carolina, Kathleen and her husband Timothy Devlin of Dorchester and Elizabeth and her husband Jeremiah Toomey of Norwell. Adoring grandmother of 11 grandchildren and known as Annie Nana to countless other “grandchildren” whom she cared for as a long-time day-care provider. Cherished sister of the late Richard, Helen, Vincent and Francis Villard. Beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Ann lived her entire life in Dorchester and dearly loved the community of Neponset. She was selfless and devoted a great deal of her life to both the church and to the community which she loved. Ann was a longtime leader and member of the Popes Hill Neighborhood Civic Association, a member of St. Ann's Choir as well as a long time Lector, Eucharistic Minster and church coordinator. She cared deeply for everyone she knew and was always willing to help anyone in need. Her life was an amazing example for all to follow.
