Hannah M. (McCarron) Logue

LOGUE, Hannah M. (McCarron) of Milton, formerly of Dorchester and Buncrana, Co. Donegal, Ireland, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 22, 2023.  Beloved wife of Patrick J. Logue of Milton. Loving mother of Marion McDaid of Milton, Anne Marie Lydon and her husband Kevin of Mansfield, Tricia Haley and her husband Brendan of Bridgewater, and Bernadette McGill-Walsh and her husband Phil Walsh of Mansfield, and Bernadette’s late husband Ed McGill. Cherished grandmother of Patrick, Conor, Mikayla, Meghan, Andrew, Rose, Connor, Aengus, Logan, Austin, Jack, and Jenna. Dear sister of Tessie, Danny, Liam, Jim, Margaret, Bridie, Michael, Bernadette, and the late Owen, Mary, and Denis. Hannah is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

As the oldest of 12 children, Hannah left Donegal and came to Boston at 16. As a woman of deep faith, she began her career with the Columban Fathers in Milton and then transferred to St. Brendan’s Parish, where she became the centerpiece of the community for many years. Hannah and Pat enjoyed an active retirement that included extensive travel and spending time with family. Her greatest joy was her many grandchildren.

Visiting hours in the John J. O’Connor & Son Funeral Home, 740 Adams St. (near Gallivan Blvd.) DORCHESTER, Sunday from 2-6 pm. Funeral Mass in St. Brendan’s Church on Monday morning at 10 o’clock. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in memory of Hannah to the Irish Pastoral Centre, 540 Gallivan Blvd., Dorchester, MA 02124. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
