FOSCALDO - James A. "Jimbo", age 64 of Weymouth formerly of Dorchester. Entered into rest June 17, 2022, suddenly. Beloved husband and best friend of Patricia "Tricia" (Dolan). Loving brother of John "Jay" Foscaldo of Milford, and the late Mary O'Neil and Joseph Foscaldo. Dear brother-in-law of Janice Foscaldo of Foxboro, Joann Foscaldo of Whitman, Brian Dolan of Quincy, Sean Dolan and his wife Karen of West Roxbury, Michael Coyle of Braintree, and the late Maureen Coyle. Devoted uncle of Monica, David, Jill, Missy, Jennifer, Andy, Nick, Marie, Ryan and Mikey. Cherished godfather of Jenny, Olivia, and Tom "Tom-Cat". Caring father to animals especially to his feline friends Tina and Shane.
Jimbo was an Inspector for the City of Boston for over 37 years, with the Boston Water & Sewer Commission. His family, friends and animals were the most important things to Jimmy in his life. The only one more important to Jimmy was his wife Tricia who he loved dearly for 45 years.
Jimbo physically was a bear of a man but to those that knew him he was just a big loveable teddy bear. The gentlest and kindest person you could know. There was nothing better than watching Jimmy giving a giant hug to one of the kids and seeing the kids just swallowed up in his arms as they laughed together.
Jimmy loved the ocean, boating, fishing, sports, good food and telling stories of his days growing up in Dorchester.
A tribute from one of the kids summed up Jimmy:
“Thanks for loving us like your own and always making sure we knew you were proud of us Jimbo. No one will be able to make a room erupt with laughter like you could and you will be missed more than you know”
