OGAR, Karen J. (Foley) of Milton, formerly of Dorchester, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2020 surrounded by her family. Karen was the beloved wife of David Ogar of Milton, and loving mother of Lauren Olson & her husband Jon of North Attleboro, and Greg Ogar & his wife Brooke of Canton. She was the adoring grandmother of three beautiful grandsons; Ryan & Christopher Olson of North Attleboro, and Cameron Ogar of Canton. Karen loved all three of them dearly and took great pride in showing them off in pictures. She was the cherished aunt of four special nephews; Brian, Christopher, and Michael Rooney, and Marco Perez, and the dear sister-in-law of Karen Ogar and Marsha Perez. Karen is also survived by many loving extended family members and countless friends. She was the devoted daughter of the late Dorothea "Dottie" Foley, and granddaughter of Edith "Edie" Sullivan, both of Dorchester.
Karen took great pride in her Dorchester roots and always had a fun story to share of growing up. She attended St. Gregory’s High School and medical tech school for both phlebotomy and medical assisting. Karen pursued her career in various medical positions throughout the Carney Hospital, Neponset Health Center, and Milton Hospital. She loved taking care of others and was quick to open her home to anyone in need. She was quick to make friends wherever she went. Although she wasn’t there to golf, Karen made many friends throughout her time spent at Furnace Brook Golf Club, as well on her many trips to Martha’s Vineyard. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and enjoyed many trips to Cape Cod, MV, Hawaii, Florida, California, and Mexico. Karen and David were always planning something fun to do with her kids, extended family, and friends. If you knew Karen, you’d know her for her beautiful smile and contagious laugh. She truly did light up the room.
