WILSON, Margaret A. “Maggie” of Weymouth, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 62 on Decmeber 2, 2021. Beloved wife of John “Jack” Fay of Weymouth. Devoted mother of Kelsey Batherwich and her partner Jonathan Dickey of Taunton, and lovely Nana of Logan. Cherished daughter of the late Bridget (Wilson) Lynch and David Wilson. Loving sister of Arthur Wilson and Bridget “Breda” Murphy of Weymouth, Daniel and Constance Wilson of Braintree, and the later Eileen Desmond of Weymouth. Loved by Ronald, Heather, and Ronald Batherwich III, and Arianna Blanchard. Also lovingly survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Maggie worked for several years at Step One and was formerly employed at UMass Boston. Her pride and joy of her life was her grandson Logan. Anyone who knew her knew that he was the center of her life. When people saw them together they saw that he was a star that put a twinkle in her eyes. She loved to travel and made many trips to Bermuda with family members. Her most recent venture was her trip to Aruba in November of 2020. Her love of the warm sun and fresh air always brought a smile to her face. She also had a deep devotion to her animals and cared so deeply for her dogs. She adopted one from China and he brings so much joy to her.
Visiting hours in the John J. O’Connor & Son Funeral Home, 740 Adams St. (near Gallivan Blvd.) DORCHESTER, Tuesday from 4-8pm. Funeral Mass in St. Gregory’s Church Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in memory of Maggie to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the MSPCA. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
