It was my great luck to have lived on Pearl St in St Williams parish when the King family lived there. Mrs King was so nice to the neighborhood kids, Curran’s, Gorham’s, Pugsley’s, and all of the Pearl St kids. Mrs King had the best smile and her accented voice was the definition of lilting. I was lucky enough to know Tony and Maureen as a 5-14 year old. I played trombone in St William’s band for one reason . . . Because Tony King did. Maureen married a high school buddy of mine, but, the over riding memory of the King family was Mrs King’s ever present smile and the genuine happiness that she displayed every day.

Jane, you wrote a beautiful tribute for Mary which captures her life and spirit so well. Mary lived a long and remarkable life; embraced her blessings and endured her sorrows. Her courage and faith are an inspiration to us all. God will be good to Mary and Mary will continue to be good to all of us.
With Deepest Sympathy,

I went to Northeastern University and worked at Quincy High School with Mrs. King's son Tony. Every morning when I would pick Tony up at his house to drive to work the stop would include breakfast cooked by Mrs. King. We had our Northeastern graduation party at her house in 1972. She was a wonderful person. Rest in peace, Mrs. King.

Dear Jane -
My cousin, Esta-Helen Martin, was in the room across from your dear mother-in-law until Esta-Helen's passing. I have often thought of the two of you. May your memories and the love and support of family and friends uphold you as you mourn and give you strength.

Dear Mrs Kreinsen King
I was looking at the obituaries this week and noted the beautiful picture of Mrs. King. When I read the first few lines and noted the last name I absolutely knew in an instant that was a member of your family. Please accept my condolences on the loss of Mrs King. We think of you and the Mr King often, and fondly. Thank you for teaching us to recognize and celebrate great writing ... I am still always in search of literary references in the newspaper which is what brought me here today.
With kind regards
