Theresa McKeen passed on September 18, 2022 at the age of 88 at home surrounded by her loving daughters. She was born in East Boston, MA on January 16, 1934.
Although Mary was her name, she was known by most as Theresa. She was blessed with 8 cherished grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Besides her best friend Lucille, she had many friends in the neighborhood.
Theresa was an avid doll collector throughout the years. Her favorite past time was shopping with our dad every weekend at South Shore Plaza. Her favorite holiday was Christmas when everyone would gather at her house on Christmas eve. She’d prepare for months for that night; everyone would have a stack of presents to open.
She loved her dog Noble. He was her constant companion. He would sit on her armchair and they’d watch tv together. Wherever she went, he followed.
We want to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for all of those who have shown their support in this difficult time, especially Tina and Bethany from Caring Hospice Services.
Along with her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Theresa is survived by her loving children Mary Ann Ruffini and her husband Daniel, Kathleen Rizzacasa and her husband Eugene, and Darlene Coughlin and her husband William.
Theresa was the beloved wife of the late Richard E. McKeen, devoted mother of the late Richard McKeen, Jr., and caring sister of the late Margaret E. Murphy.
