Obituary

FLAHERTY, Matthew S. of Rockland, formerly of Dorchester, passed away on November 12, 2022 at the age of 56. Beloved husband of Susan C. (Derrane) Flaherty of Braintree. Loving father of Jenna Flaherty, Cailey Flaherty, Kerin Flaherty, and Christin Flaherty, all of Braintree. Cherished son of Barbara Flaherty of Dorchester, formerly of Drim, Lettormore, Ireland, and the late Matthew P. Flaherty of Dorchester, formerly of Carraroe, Co. Galway, Ireland. Caring brother of Michael Flaherty of Dorchester, Ann Marie Flaherty of Dorchester, Edward Flaherty and his wife Sandy of Fall River, Stephen Flaherty and his wife Colleen of Canton, and Patrick Flaherty and his wife Jillian of Weymouth.  Matthew will be dearly missed by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Visiting hours in the John J. O’Connor and Son Funeral Home, 740 Adams St. (near Gallivan Blvd.) Sunday from 2-6pm. Funeral Mass in St. Mark’s Church Monday morning at 10 o’clock. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a charity of your choice. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
