To the McManus family, my deepest condolence to you on the loss of Mickey. My brother Dave and myself who hail from Waltham first met Mickey at the famous Erie Pub and naturally the opening topic of conversation was sports related. We then ran into him again in Florida at the ESPN club on Disney’s boardwalk and our journey began with Mickey. The Mick was a voracious reader and could engage anyone on what ever subject came to light. When Mickey had his stroke and was transformed to a nursing home in Abington we continued our strong bond with him keeping up our visits along with several of his close friends. Each time we saw Mick he was always upbeat never complaining and I know he was always happy to see Pete and Dave, his Waltham connection. His worldly journey is now complete and we have an angel watching over us especially all his boys at the Erie.

My condolences to Bob's family on his passing. I first met Mickey in 2014 at where else but the Eire Pub. When I first met Mickey I observed what a legend he was at this bar. Everyone that came into the Eire knew Mickey. I continued to stay friends with Mickey and would usually see him once a week during his hay day at the Eire. We took several sports trip including, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore. When Mickey had his stroke several years ago I continued to see him but not as often as I would have liked. All the years he was at the rehab I never once head him complain. He truly was an inspiration for me. I will always cherish the many memories and conversations I had with Mickey. I will always too remember all the friends I met through Mickey from the Eire. Going to miss you, Mickey
