FITZGERALD, Virginia "Ginny" M. (Sceppa) of Dorchester, formerly of South Boston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 19, 2023. Beloved wife of the late William F. Fitzgerald Jr. Loving mother of William F. Fitzgerald III and his wife Susan of Florida, Robert E. Fitzgerald and wife Stacey of Braintree, and Jim Fitzgerald and Karen Hurley of Dorchester/South Boston. Cherished grandmother of William IV, Brendan, Andrew, Julia, Abby, Allyson, and Josh. Dear sister of the late Marie Fichera, Charles Sceppa, and Alfred Sceppa. Dear friend of Carol & Richard Dominique. She loved her niece Mary. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. She worked at the Carney Hospital for many years where she developed some life long relationships. Ginny will always be known for her "spunk". You never had to worry about what she was thinking. If it was on her mind she would let you know. Did somebody say shopping? Oh did she love shopping you never had to twist her arm to go shopping. If it was day, night, snow, sleet or rain she would go. Her greatest passion and love was her three boys, Billy, Bob and Jim. She touched many people and will be missed.
